After being diagnosed with Triple Negative breast cancer and losing my hair to chemo, I started crocheting beanies to keep my head warm. I started thinking I wasn’t alone on this journey. I knew there were other women in the same situation. So I decided to crochet pink hats to donate to the Summit Medical Group Cancer Center.
Crocheting these hats gave me great satisfaction knowing I was in a small way helping others cope. I have completed my treatments and so far I’m cancer free! Nevertheless, I continue to crochet hats and it still helps maintain my sanity.
